Tristan Miura is an award-winning Japanese-Canadian director, born and raised in Vancouver, BC. From his hometown Tristan developed a thriving passion for theatre and film. From a young age, he pursued a career in Acting and attended TMU (previously known as Ryerson University), where he developed his love of the arts in their Performance Acting Program. After deep consideration, Tristan made the choice to leave his Post-Secondary school to pursue film. His time at the University guided his artistic practice of devised theatre, which he uses as a template for his projects. Tristan is Gosei, meaning 5th Generation. His work often finds itself aligned with his mixed-heritage, Japanese and Irish.
